Personal bests: 4:55 Min. Static
39 Meters Constant Weight
75 Meters Dynamic w fins
Where do I usually dive: Hawaii. Mostly in Pu'u Honua-O-Honaunau Bay where we have training lines.
Favourite freediving spots: I love Kealakekua Bay where some scuba divers erected a sort of small underwater shrine at 112" deep and placed a statue of Buddha on the top. When you are diving and the shrine reveals itself to you it is like entering a very sacred place. Really beautiful. Dolphins go there sometimes.
Best freediving experience: My first "AIDA World Championships" in Villefranche-Sur-Mer, Nice in 2005.
I opened the women dive and from the last breath I took before I started my official dive to the first I inhaled upon my surfacing it was an amazing dance. Everything clicked into an incredible focus and I felt I could have dove for ever... no limits. It was the most perfect effortless dive I have ever done.
That was also the first time I got my tag. You should have seen my smile... I also broke my tooth taking off my monofin.
